Sunny and ~60°F; a lovely spring-like day in early February. What’s not to like? Oh, and I saw this.
I didn’t catch the owner before he got on his way, unfortunately. He was headed the same direction I was for a while though, so I got to follow behind for a bit . I doubt I’ll ever tire of seeing these on the move. And while it was fairly quiet (probably stock exhaust), what I did hear sounded excellent - and smooth.

very nice - the Subaru sales guy I have worked with had a 3.6 Legacy with a cat back that sounded fabulous. I was expecting 911-esque but it’s more exotic sounding - kind of half a flat 12 sound.

I often revisit that video...

Subaru’s various generations of H6 can be made to sound very good.

Beautiful 93 Anniversary Edition. All the 93s were bright red, no black two-tone, celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Subaru in the US, IIRC.
If it had a Stebro Exhaust, it might have one of the greatest sounds...

Red really suits the SVX.

Part of it for sure, very high up on that list.

I’m generally not one for gloss red on a car, but I will admit that it does suit certain cars quite well. The SVX is definitely one of those cars.

I believe it is a 25th Anniversary edition, though I have a bit of a hard time telling Barcelona Red (‘93-’94) from Brilliant Red (‘95-’97).
The Stebro exhaust is awesome! The only thing I would change about it is keeping the original exhaust tips ( or something stock looking ), but that’s just me.

Agreed.
The only thing I would change... the transmission. 2006-9 Legacy GT Spec.B 6-speed VTD manual gearbox conversion . The STI gearbox with longer gearing, and the DCCD stuck in automatic mode, with 1.1:1 standard rear bias.
I had a rough 92 LS-L in sun-damaged claret paint, but I think I would have preferred a pearlie, or a tri-tone silver. Overseas Ruby red, and Laguna blue were good, too.

Swiss Ruby Mica is such a nice color and is a shame that we never got it over here.
I had a 4EAT in my ‘09 Forester and I didn’t mind it. A better transmission is always welcome though.
A have a soft spot for the Claret for reasons I think I’ve stated here before, but a pearlie would be top I think. The only color I wouldn’t want is Ebony , but I’ve never been a fan of black cars.
